If you are a lover of antiques, then you probably been dreaming of owning a beautiful vintage woodstoves of days long passed.  Antique stoves have an absolutely amazing, look about them that is difficult to find in a modern stove.  My husband and I were in the process of finishing our basement and wanted a vintage stove, it took us several years of searching for the perfect stove, but we found one that had been under our noses all the time.  In my grandparents’ old barn was a 4 O’clock stove, which had once been used to heat their parlor.  The small cast iron, wood-burning stove is perfect for warming a room.  4 O’clock stoves may be small cast iron stoves, but what they lack in size they make up in style.  These stoves have doors that allow for an open fire, which both light and warm any settings.  In addition, ornate castings and finials add to the beauty of these stoves, which in turn add to any décor.  To help you in your search for the perfect vintage stove, we have created a brief description of a few other vintage stoves, which will both provide warmth as they add charm to any décor.

These are only a very small sample of the countless types of stoves that I happen to come across during my research.  If you happen to find any antique stoves and have it installed, before you actually use it, please have it inspected to ensure that it is in working order.  Over the years, vital parts could have been lost, turning your beautiful antique stove into a fire hazard.  To ensure the safety of you and your loved ones, please have any reclaimed fireplace, or stove thoroughly inspected, so that it will provide you and your family with years of safe use.  Antique stoves add charm and elegance to any room as well as warmth.
